Exterior and Appearance
- A computer-controlled system used to automatically counteract trailer sway. When the computer senses the vehicle has left the driver's intended path, it will automatically apply select brakes to regain control and restore the intended path of the vehicle and trailer.
Powertrain and Mechanical
- Power is delivered to all four wheels.
- Power is delivered to all four wheels.
- Variable valve control allows the lift, duration and/or timing of the intake or exhaust valves to be altered while the engine is in operation.
- Diesel fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber at high pressure, through an atomizing nozzle, mixing with the hot, high-pressure air. The heat of the compressed air ignites the fuel mixture and burns very rapidly.
Safety and Security
- Brake assist senses panic braking from the speed of the brake pedal's travel and applies all available power brake boost.
- Restricted driving mode allows the owner to impose limits on features such as maximum vehicle speed and audio volume.
- Ignition immobilizer is a passive means of security. It consists of a transmitter embedded within the ignition key and a sensor located in the vehicle. These two circuits must be present, and must recognize each other before the vehicle will start.
- Anti-roll control uses gyroscopic sensors to gauge both the roll angle of the vehicle and the rate at which the roll angle is changing. When the system identifies conditions that could lead to vehicle instability and/or rollover, it employs the braking and engine control systems in an attempt to reduce the rate of body roll.
- When starting from an incline position, the vehicle automatically applies brake force to prevent itself from rolling back.
